During the lead up to This Connected Carnival (TCC) in June 2026, Zachary, my new ITE ministry co-worker and I bumped into X, his old friend. I introduced myself to X, a Christian. I didn’t think much of the meeting after that as X seemed very guarded about matters of faith.

That same week, while calling up students to invite them to our ITE Ministry events, I contacted B. Interestingly, he was the founder of a nerf blaster interest group, made up of mostly ITE students. We met B, intending to invite his group of 15 to run a nerf war station at TCC. Guess what? X appeared with B! It turns out X is also one of the leaders in this group. This led me to think that God was at work here. We secured them for TCC.

While there were various challenges that arose during TCC, the youthful team’s resilience stood out. They persevered, and the station was run fairly well.

At the TCC thanksgiving session, I shared the gospel with the whole team through my personal testimony. Thanks be to God that four of them were interested to know more! Today, three of them continue to read the Bible with us while we are still in contact with the rest of the group. More opportunities for future partnership with them will open up space for my co-workers and I to interact, work on projects together, journey with them in their highs and lows, and share the gospel in our words and the way we live.

I am amazed by God’s goodness. What appeared at first to be a coincidental encounter with X in the train turned out to be God’s leading and working all things together so we could bring the gospel to B and his friends!
