2. Where we collect your personal information

2.1 Newsletters and Resources
In order to process your request as well as respond to your enquiries promptly, we would require your personal information such as fullname, address, telephone number and email address. We need the above to verify and ensure no duplicate occurs in our database.

2.2 Registration with SYFC Seminars, Training, Events and Camps
When you register for seminars, workshops, camps or events organised or co-organised by SYFC, we would require to collect your personal information such as your name, address, telephone number and email address in order to do follow-up, prompt updates and informing you of future events that may interest you. Whenever necessary we would need your Fullname; Date of birth and Identity Card/ EZLink Card (students) / FIN / Passport Number for Insurance purposes.

2.3 SYFC Donors
When SYFC receives your donation, we will need to collect your personal information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, bank account number for Direct Debit Authorisation (DDA) and cheque number where applicable so that we can send you an acknowledgement receipt or contact you for any clarification pertaining to the donation.

2.4 Information collected on website
We may collect information such as your name, email address, telephone (mobile) numbers when you fill up any of our online forms or our chat widget, so that we can respond to your enquiries promptly.

2.5 Walk-in purchase of resource materials
We may collect information such as your name, email address, telephone numbers when you visit our offices to purchase our resource materials so that we can issue you the acknowledgement receipt.

2.6 Photographs and audio/video recordings
Through your participation and involvement in SYFC-related events, photographs/ audio recordings/ video recordings of you may be collected.

3. How we use and disclose your personal information

Once you have given us your personal information, you are not anonymous to us. We may use your personal information to contact you for our courses, seminars, workshops, camps and events from time to time. This may include mail, email and text messages and phone calls. We are committed to contact you with regards to the courses, seminars, workshops, camps or events which you have signed up with us or have expressed interest in.

Photographs/ audio recordings/video recordings during SYFC events may be used for internal and external publicity purposes in mediums such as printed newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters, banners, calendars, electronic publications, websites and social media platforms.

We may also disclose your personal information to churches, organisations and education institutions who engage SYFC services as well as 3rd party agencies such as insurance companies where applicable. Access to your personal information will only be provided to them for the purpose of performing our services. We will require them to ensure that the personal information disclosed to them is kept confidential and secured. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

If you do not wish to receive information on our services or updates on our services or updates through our newsletters, you may opt out at any time by emailing us at dpo@syfc.org.sg to inform us to be unsubscribed from our mailing list/database.

4. How we store your personal information

Your personal information is stored in our database. We are committed to give top priority to protect your personal information against unauthorised access. Your personal information is retained until you opt out.

5. ACCessing your personal data

You will be able to assess your personal data at any time to check or to make a correction. For security reasons, such requests will only be allowed when your identity is verified. It must also be done in writing so that it will be properly documented. A fee may be charged.
