An Excerpt from Laurent Tan’s supporter letter

It was just a request to meet up with two sisters, aged 6 and 8. Since we are reaching preteens and youths, I was not keen initially for my staff and project servant to get to know them. Not until I learnt that their father was in a coma.

As it turned out, a month after our outreach to the sisters, he passed on. During that short period, my staff and project servant gave tuition and befriended them. They also shared the gospel with them who responded in faith to the Lord and wanted to study the Bible.

During their period of grief, my staff and project servant went alongside the sisters with much compassion and prayer. They took them out for meals and chats. Rapport and trust grew, with one sister expressing her grief and unsettling thoughts. The gentleman who first connected us to the sisters eventually learnt more about YFC and even supported us.

Everything that happened, beginning with that simple request to meet two little girls, reflected how perfect God’s timing was and how He impeccably orchestrated all things together for them and for us. I praise and thank Him!
