Dear friend,

Here’s wishing everyone a new year filled with God’s grace, peace and mercies!

In this first letter of the year, I would like to highlight some key changes in our organisational structure and communications.

Our new executive director

Laurent Tan, who is a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), has been appointed as the executive director starting 1 January 2022. Laurent first started volunteering with the Youth Guidance Ministry in 2005. His passion to reach at-risk youth then led him to make a mid-career switch to join us full time in 2013. Laurent’s training in the corporate world helped him to be very systematic in implementing strategies and initiatives and I am always appreciative of his input in the ELT, in helping us to think out of the box in solving problems and developing new initiatives. As the executive director, Laurent will be directing the work in the CORE ministries. Please pray for him as he works with the ministry coordinators of the grassroots ministries and also for his family as he takes on more responsibilities in his new role.

Our new e-Communique

Traditionally, our communications consisted mainly of reports on past events. This is so that we can give God His due glory in how He has worked in and through the ministry. It is also our sincere hope that you will be encouraged by our sharing on the lives that were saved and transformed by the gospel. Moving forward, for those of you who are receiving Communique in the electronic form, other than reporting on what had happened, we will also be sharing with you our upcoming events. This is so that you can use some of these events for your own or your church’s outreach. I look forward to sharing with you more new initiatives in this new year and I humbly seek your prayers for us to continue abiding in Christ so that we may bear fruit for His glory!
