What is a weekly or regular thing you do in SYFC?
I talk to other teenagers about Jesus. At our casual gaming sessions in Bible House, I play with other students as a participant. Sometimes I help the staff with documents on Word or Excel. Soon I will begin regular Bible study with a staff.
What problems do you face in these activities? Why do you persist in them despite the problems?
As an introvert, I face a lot of issues with approaching people. But I make it a point to still do these activities as I learnt from a pastor that it’s “my generation and my responsibility, so if I want to see a change in my generation I must work instead of wait.”
When and how did you get involved in SYFC?
A friend invited me to BGR (boy-girl-relationship) talk in SYFC and I was interested to be in a community like SYFC.
When and how did you become a Christian? What change did your one month in Project Serve in March and April 2023 bring about in you?
When I was 10, I came to know about Jesus. Later, when a Christian approached me on the streets and told me more about Jesus, I was really interested to find out more. Then I visited a church and attended more often. This year, in Project Serve, I felt like “all the facts are already there”, so I decided to ask the Lord Jesus into my life. I also began to connect better with others.
What is an important thought or truth from the Bible that help you make it through each week?
The most important reminder is Jeremiah 29:11. I know God has good in store for my life, a future and a hope.
How has it been telling your ITE friends about Jesus?
It’s still hard but I trust God that slowly I will get better at it.
What would you like REACH readers to pray for you?
Please pray for me to be more confident and humble when I share the gospel.
