Thank you, Lord

Geared To The Times, Anchored To The Rock

Chien Chong (right most, in white), the National Director of SYFC, at the staff and family retreat this year.

When I look back this year, there are really many things we are very grateful for. Topping the thanksgiving list are the seven new and young staff who joined us since the start of this year. While two of them are fresh university graduates, the remaining five come from different occupations like financial planner, physiotherapist and even church worker. They add to the current staff team of about 50. In addition, three more individuals are in the process of applying to come in. This will bring our full-time manpower strength to 60 when the new year begins. We thank God for leading every one of them to take the step of faith and obedience to full-time Christian ministry. In this regard, we are extremely thankful for the 60th anniversary fund which was raised to help these new staff. The support from friends and partners cannot be timelier.

Besides the new staff, we are also very appreciative of the rest of the full-timers, the many volunteers, students and supporters. Even as I pen these thoughts, numerous faces (past and present) come to my mind. I am truly humbled by how each person has given his or her time to pray for, has given to support and has been involved with us in the ministry of reaching youths for Christ. We are where we are and still doing what we are constituted to do after 60 years because the good Lord has been providing all the needed manpower and financial resources through very good brothers and sisters in Christ like you. Just as you have been supporting us, may I encourage you to continue to stand with us as we seek to reach another young generation for the Lord.
